Piton de La Fournaise Erupts !! | 14 October 2010

The new eruption of the The Piton de La Fournaise is located close to the "Fort" in the South-east corner of the volcano. Since yesterday at 7 pm, the volcano has erupted and is stable.
For several weeks, the volcano has shown signs of awakening and on the evening of the 14th of October the volcano flowed lava.
Access to visitors to the "Enclos" is closed however the “Pas de Bellecombe” remains open.
For the fortunate few on the island right now - book a helicopter flight over while its going off !!
The Piton de La Fournaise, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, offers tourists a chance to witness a unique natural event.
